OUR MISSION
The Shared Plate is a non-profit LLC that weekly serves friendship, respect, hot meals, and basic living necessities to hundreds of people currently experiencing food and housing insecurity in the Palm Springs area. As a 100% volunteer organization, your donations to us go directly to feeding and supporting those in need in our community.
Based on the increased need in 2026, The Shared Plate is projected to serve over 35,000 meals this year.
Operating out of the Fellowship Hall of the United Methodist Church at 1555 E. Alejo Road in Palm Springs, The Shared Plate serves free hot breakfasts weekly on Friday and Sunday mornings from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM and hot lunches on Saturdays from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Along with hot meals and to-go meal bags, The Shared Plate also provides a boutique of free clean vintage clothing and travel-size toiletries and other personal necessities. In addition, we provide our guests private hot showers with clean towels on the fourth Saturday of each month from 10:00AM to 12:00PM.

PLEASE NOTE: For those wishing to donate clean men’s or women’s clothing and shoes, please contact us (info@thesharedplate.org) to schedule a drop off. Due to Health Code restrictions we are unable to accept food items or toiletries, but gratefully use your financial donations to cover the cost of those items.
